Refund Policy
Effective date: 7 June 2026 Last updated: 7 June 2026 Version: 1.1
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for a product you have bought from Ortopylot. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
We want you to be happy with what you buy. If something is not right, get in touch.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded.
If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedy if a product:
- Is not of acceptable quality
- Is not fit for the purpose described
- Does not match the description we provided
- Has a major problem that cannot be easily fixed
If a product has a major problem under the Australian Consumer Law, you can choose between a refund, a replacement, or compensation for any drop in value. If the problem is minor, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund.
This Refund Policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, not instead of them. If a product is faulty, is not as described, or is not delivered, your statutory rights apply regardless of anything in this policy. This Refund Policy adds to those rights. It does not replace or limit them.
2. 14-day satisfaction guarantee
In addition to your legal rights, we offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee on every paid digital product.
If you buy a product and decide within 14 days of purchase that it is not right for you, contact us at hello@ortopylot.com and we will refund the full purchase price. No questions asked.
You do not need to explain why. You do not need to prove anything was wrong with the product. If you ask within 14 days, you get your money back.
3. After 14 days
After the 14-day satisfaction guarantee period, refunds are at our discretion, except where you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 1).
If you have a problem with a product more than 14 days after purchase, contact us. We will look at the issue and respond fairly.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund:
- Email hello@ortopylot.com.
- Include your name, the email address you used to purchase, and the product name.
- If you are requesting a refund after the 14-day satisfaction guarantee period, briefly describe the issue.
We will respond within 5 business days. If the refund is approved, we will process it through Stripe within a further 5 business days. The refund will appear on your original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days after we process it, depending on your bank.
5. What is not refundable
- Free products and resources are not refundable because no payment was made.
- Services already delivered in full (for example, a one-off consulting session that has been completed) are not refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
- Custom or bespoke work that has been delivered to your specification and accepted by you is not refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
6. Chargebacks and disputes
If you have an issue with a purchase, please contact us first. Most issues are resolved quickly by email.
If you raise a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, we may dispute the chargeback if we believe the purchase was legitimate. This does not affect any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable law in your jurisdiction.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through a notice on the site.
The Refund Policy in effect at the time you made your purchase applies to that purchase.
